SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria. Antioch. Philip I. AD 244-249. Æ 8 Assaria (32mm, 14.42 g, 6h). First issue, struck circa AD 244-247. Radiate and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Turreted, draped, and veiled bust of Tyche right; above, ram leaping right, head left; star below; Δ-Є and S(retrograde)-C across field. McAlee 971A (this coin cited and illustrated). Near VF, black-green patina, slight porosity. Extremely rare.
